Katalis

Katalis bridges telco and cloud provider APIs using Kubernetes to drive orchestration and federation. Its operator implements a subset of the GSMA Operator Platform Group’s East/WestBound Interface (EWBI), exposing the federation API over REST and mapping its objects to Kubernetes resources. Work in progress; Apache 2.0.

Katalis implements an industry standard rather than defining one: the GSMA Operator Platform’s federation interface between operators and clouds. It is part of NeoNephos, a Linux Foundation Europe project.

  • Implements GSMA OPG EWBI - A REST server for the federation API, described in api/ewbi/swagger.yaml, alongside the GSMA Open Gateway family of telco APIs.
  • Its resource model - Federation, FederationAPI, ApplicationOnboarding, ApplicationDeployment, Artefact, AvailabilityZone and Image in opg.ewbi.katalis.com.
  • Early - Marked work in progress; no releases yet.
