GBFS is the open data standard for shared mobility — bikes, scooters, mopeds and car share — describing system information, station status and free-floating vehicle availability as public JSON feeds. Maintained by MobilityData alongside GTFS, it is what allows a trip planner to show every operator’s vehicles in one map without bilateral integration.
