Chantico

Chantico is a Kubernetes operator that brings energy intelligence to cloud-native data centers, monitoring the power usage of devices such as PDUs and bare-metal servers over SNMP, with plans for virtual machines and pods. It is software; its contract is a small resource model for data-center resources and measurements. Apache 2.0, created 2026.

Chantico makes a data center’s power draw something you declare and query like any other Kubernetes resource. It is part of NeoNephos, a Linux Foundation Europe project.

  • Its resource model - DataCenterResource, MeasurementDevice and PhysicalMeasurement.
  • Builds on - Kubernetes Operator SDK and SNMP; shipped as a Helm chart from an OCI registry.
  • Young and moving - Created February 2026; v0.18.0 on 9 October 2026.
